Longtime Portland auto family selling two of its three dealerships


A longtime Portland family name in the auto business is trimming down its dealerships.

Wentworth Auto Group, which has been in the car business since 1923 — and which started out in the carriage business in Portland in 1903 — plans to sell two of its Portland dealerships, Wentworth Subaru and Wentworth Chevrolet, to the Seattle-based O'Brien Auto Group. That leaves the company with just its Wilsonville Chevrolet dealership.
