Lowertown adding co-working space for artists


Redevelopment has eliminated many Lowertown art studios in recent years, but the latest project will add some back.

The Star Tribune reports on the plans for Creators Space, a new shared workspace, gallery and learning center for artists that will go into a former parking garage on the bottom levels of Seventh Street East near Wacouta Street. Heritage House apartments will remain on the upper floors.
