Massive new project will remake downtown Kannapolis


The second major project in the Kannapolis 2.0 redevelopment plan is now underway.

Called Vida, the project contains 286 apartments, new retail space, a parking deck and eventually a hotel that uses the historic Cabarrus Bank Building as the lobby for a new 125-room property. Construction starts on the hotel by the end of the year.
