MBTA chief defends keeping Orange Line closed past Labor Day

GM Steve Poftak was asked why the MBTA is not adopting A Better City's proposal to restore weekday service after Labor Day, while shutting down the line on weekends through late October. The MBTA’s general manager on Thursday defended his decision.
