MCAD proposes campuswide makeover, starting with new six-story student housing building


The Minneapolis College of Arts and Design plans to tackle several updates to its campus in South Minneapolis, starting with a new six-story building for student housing, according to plans submitted to the City of Minneapolis.

MCAD hopes to grow its student body from its current 800 to 1,000 by 2030 and plans to accommodate that growth by demolishing five buildings, constructing three and renovating six on its campus.
