A massive home development has been proposed in a fast-growing Durham suburb.
Meritage Homes Corp. (NYSE: MTH), a publicly traded homebuilder based in Scottsdale, Arizona, recently submitted plans for a new community called Lyon Station that will have up to 890 new homes. The community would be built on 334 acres along Interstate 85 about five minutes north of downtown Butner.
