Minneapolis is the least expensive place in the U.S. to plan a small wedding


With the average cost of a traditional wedding at $30,000, wedding planners might be considering a smaller gathering to cut costs.

According to a new study conducted this summer by jewelry retailer Shane Co., Minneapolis might be the cheapest city in the U.S. to host a micro wedding (about 50 guests).

To get its results, the Denver-based jewelry retailer surveyed 2,153 respondents to get the average costs of venues, catering, photographers, officiants, a DJ, makeup artists, hair stylists, attire…
