Minnesota banks more than doubled use of ‘hot’ deposits post pandemic


Minnesota's 10 largest locally based banks over the past year have on average more than doubled their use of "brokered" deposits, a type of deposit that regulators and experts say can carry more risk than ordinary deposits. The reason is simple, says one banker: "Cash is king"
