Missouri improves, but still in bad shape when it comes to this state ranking


According to a recent report, Missouri is ranked near the bottom when it comes to its residents' health. But there are signs of improvement.

In the United Health Foundation’s 2018 America’s Health Rankings report, Missouri ranked 38th, down from No. 40 in 2017.

The report calculates state health by analyzing five categories: health outcomes, health behaviors, community and environment, policy and clinical care.
