A former owner of Modern Cafe is opening another cozy bar and restaurant in Northeast Minneapolis.
A handwritten sign on the entrance to 2512 Central Ave. NE, in the Holland Neighborhood, promises an impending launch of the the aptly-named Dutch Bar, next to Aki's BreadHaus and Fair State Brewing Cooperative.
Patty Grell hopes to debut the 1,200-square-foot watering hole in early April. Exact timing is contingent on when the city issues a certificate of occupancy.
