Negotiations over downtown towers proposed at HealthSouth site hinge on affordable housing debate


While Aspen Heights is still in the driver's seat when it comes to redeveloping the former HealthSouth building in downtown Austin, some aspects of the proposed project have changed since we last reported on it. Plans call for two towers near 12th and Red River, potentially with more than 900 new housing units. Negotiations are centered on how much of that space should be for affordable housing.
