Neighborhood groups, community developer sue Whitestone to restore derelict apartments with affordable housing


Two neighborhood associations and a nonprofit developer want a Jackson County court to let them fix up what they allege are blighted properties owned by Denver-based Whitestone & Co. Their lawsuit says the firm isn't addressing blight at its multifamily properties, and they are ready to do it themselves to add to the city's affordable housing stock.
