Netsmart gets a new majority owner


Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. has agreed to sell its majority stake in Overland Park-based Netsmart.

Private equity firm GI Partners, along with TA Associates, will acquire Allscript’s stake in Netsmart, the health IT company announced Monday. The combined investor group will own roughly 80 percent of Netsmart shares, according to the news release.
