An entrepreneur has eyed a storefront in downtown Ensley for opening a coffee shop.
The coffee shop, Modern House, at 602 19th St. will host a pop-up shop July 20 from noon to 2 p.m. in advance of its official opening. The official opening date will be announced after a building renovation.
In addition to serving up latte and a strong brew, the Modern House, which is also a nonprofit, has a goal of hiring homeless individuals to help build up society.
