New coffee shop in East Sacramento has familiar owners

A coffee shop planned in East Sacramento has ties to some local seafood restaurants.

The new business, called Station 38th & J, is in the works at 3711 J St. It comes from Trinh Le and Minnie Nguyen, the husband-and-wife team behind Station 16 seafood restaurant in midtown Sacramento and Firehouse Crawfish in South Sacramento.

Station 38th & J will fill a spot that was previously a Peet's Coffee shop, which closed in December. It's expected to open this summer.
