New dean of St. Louis-area optometry school marks milestone


When the new dean of the University of Missouri-St. Louis' School of College of Optometry reports for work Thursday, she'll be crossing a barrier.

Dr. Keshia Elder will be the nation's first Black female dean of optometry, university officials said.
