New Italian restaurant from Kim Bartmann replacing Amore Uptown


Amore Uptown is closing after this weekend, but quickly taking its place is a new Italian eatery by a local restaurant veteran.

Minneapolis-based restaurateur Kim Bartmann has purchased the business, located at 1601 W. Lake St. in Minneapolis, and plans to reopen the restaurant as soon as possible, her company Placemaker Hospitality (formerly known as the Bartmann Group) announced Wednesday.
