New Peabody hotel project approved in Roanoke


A flock of Memphis' feathered friends are headed to Texas.

As part of a long-awaited expansion, the Peabody Hotels & Resorts' planned Dallas/Fort Worth-area hotel project was approved by the local government.

The Roanoke City Council approved The Peabody Roanoke, a 300-room hotel with more than 25,000 square feet of event space, on May 28. The project was initially announced in 2017.
