A new commercial development could be built on a prominent corner in Hoover.
A developer is planning a 15,000-square-foot retail property at the vacant corner of Highway 119 (also known as Cahaba Valley Road) and Doug Baker Boulevard, in the North Shelby area of Hoover between Meadowbrook and Lee Branch.
Hoover Sun reported the city's Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the project. It will go before the Hoover City Council for final approval.
