New UC Health CEO Cory Shaw navigating NCI pursuit amid financial challenges


It’s been 11 months since Cory Shaw first set foot in the C-suite at UC Health. In that short span, his team has met critical milestones in its largest expansion to date – a $221 million overhaul at its flagship hospital, UC Medical Center. The health system has also made strides in its pursuit of a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation, while simultaneously balancing a slew of budget cuts that followed a pair of recent bond downgrades.
