New WCET-TV documentary hails Cincinnati May Festival’s 150th anniversary


Partway through a new documentary about the Cincinnati May Festival, director of choruses Robert Porco is shown intensely at work, motivating his singers. The all-volunteer choristers – ranging from age 19 to members who have sung for 52 years – collectively devote more than 45,000 hours to rehearsals and performances annually. The work they do is inspiring, Porco says, adding, “Their reward is the music.”
