New York firm buys Birmingham apartment complex in $56M deal


A New York private equity firm has purchased Wildwood Crossings Apartments for $56 million. Wildwood Crossings is a 520-unit Class B garden-style property that had been managed by MDIC Management since its construction in 1998.

Senior Managing Director David Oakley, Senior Director David Wilson and Associate Directors Caleb Frizzell and Abe Maddox of Berkadia’s Birmingham office worked on the deal. Meridian Capital Group provided a new first mortgage using Freddie Mac, according to Berkadia.…
