Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center names Aetna executive health chancellor


Ohio State University has named Dr. Harold "Hal" Paz, Aetna Inc.'s chief medical officer, to a newly created post of executive vice president and chancellor of health affairs.

At Ohio State, Paz will manage Wexner Medical Center, including all six hospitals in the health system, and will oversee clinical aspects of the university’s seven health sciences colleges, such as pharmacy and dentistry, and more than 20 research institutes.

The university said his base salary will be $1.45 million.
