One of Louisville’s largest credit unions opens downtown branch


Transcend Credit Union has a new downtown location.

The office is at 601 S. Floyd St., in the Children's Hospital Foundation building.

It's the seventh branch office for the credit union, which formerly was known as Kentucky Telco. The credit union was founded in 1934 for the benefit of Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph employees in Louisville. Today, its membership is open to anyone who works, lives, worships, volunteers or attends school in more than 25 nearby counties. Transcend has more…
