One year after surviving a brain injury, former patient chairs gala to benefit trauma victims and families (video)


In November 2022, Calvert Bowie, architect and principal, DLR Group, experienced a traumatic brain injury from a horseback riding accident. The extent of Bowie’s injuries was unimaginable and life threatening. He was flown by rescue helicopter to Inova Fairfax Hospital and immediately in the expert care of Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 trauma center team.
