OP city council is now questioning the allure of Metcalf Crossing project


It appears that Overland Park City Council members are having second thoughts about the once praised Metcalf Crossing project.

The city council voted Monday to delay a decision on the project's revised plan and special use permit until an Oct. 7 meeting, the Shawnee Mission Post reports. Incentives for the project previously were approved and include $2.6 million in tax increment financing and $3.1 million from a special sales tax.
