Open enrollment for state workers’ health insurance looms despite Harvard Pilgrim hack


The state says the deadline for open enrollment period for 460,000 state workers will not be extended past Wednesday despite a cyberattack on Harvard Pilgrim Health Care's website that's causing headaches for members.

The Group Insurance Commission annual enrollment period, which ends on May 3, is the time of year where state employees can make changes to their benefits for fiscal 2024, which begins on July 1.
