Oregon nixes forced opioid tapers for back pain, declines to cover 5 other conditions


Oregon Medicaid patients with back and neck pain will no longer be required to taper off opioids, under a new rule adopted Thursday.

The Health Evidence Review Commission voted unanimously to remove the requirements, effective Oct. 1.
