Oregon, Washington approve vaccines for youngest children


Covid-19 vaccinations for children as young as 6 months will be available immediately in Oregon and Washington, governors of four Western states announced Sunday.

The states approved Moderna's two-dose vaccine series and Pfizer-BioNTech's three-dose series for young children. A statement from Gov. Kate Brown said the Oregon Health Authority will inform health care providers that vaccinations can start as early as today.
