Parent company sells KC mortgage provider’s $226M loan portfolio, plans to shutter 87-year-old company


Pioneer Financial Services will be shut down once its parent company completes a sale of its loan portfolio. The Kansas City-based mortgage provider declined to share the number of employees who will be laid off, but information on LinkedIn shows it has more than 100 current employees in the Kansas City area.
