A 17.5-acre estate on Vashon Island, inspired by the meditative gardens of Asia, is on the market for $3.95 million and is a blend of Northwest native landscape with Bali and Java. Windermere brokers Linda Bianchi and Denise Katz have the listing.

The land was owned and transformed by the late David Smith who owned Seattle-based David Smith & Co., one of the largest importers of high-end Indonesian antiques and furniture in the country.
