A well-known waterfront Mercer Island home built by Gerald “Jerry” Peabody and Penelope "Penny” Peabody was listed at $9.5 million when it came on the market Feb. 19. Four days later it got an offer from a techie.

Gerald Peabody’s daughters Victoria Hansen and Mary Jane Blanton are selling the estate that holds lots of fond memories for this family.

Both Jerry and Penny passed away within 10 months of each other. He died in 2016, and she died in 2017.
