PayPal stock drops on disappointing revenue outlook heading into holidays


PayPal Holdings Inc. stock dropped on Friday after it lowered its annual revenue outlook, warning that inflation would likely cause consumers to cut spending this holiday season.

Shares of the San Jose digital payments giant fell more than 10% in after-hours trading after it posted third quarter results Thursday. But they were only down by about 3% when regular trading started on Friday.
