Philadelphia cell therapy startup launches with $250M in finanicial commitments


Philadelphia cell therapy startup Century Therapeutics announced Monday it was emerging from "stealth mode" with $250 million in financing commitments.

The funding commitments are from Bayer in Germany, Versant Ventures of San Francisco and Tokyo-based Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics Inc.

Century plans to use the proceeds to advance multiple programs covering potenital treatments for hematologic and solid malignancies into the clinic.
