Philadelphia community bank receives regulatory approval for Atlanta expansion, hires first area exec


A Philadelphia-based community bank has received a regulatory green-light to expand into the Peach State.

Hyperion Bank said it received approval to open its first Atlanta office, located at 3525 Piedmont Road, Suite 6-305. It's only the bank's second branch — the other location opened in 2006 at 2nd Street and West Girard Avenue in Philadelphia.
