Philadelphia ranks as the worst big city for living space after housing lots shrink 43% in 10 years, per report


Sizes of residential lots and houses have been on a downward trend during the last decade, with Philadelphia leading the way.

A recent report from StorageCafe, an online platform that provides storage unit listings across the nation, shows that the median size of a new single family home is around 2,299 square feet, 4% smaller than 10 years ago, and the median lot size is 8,891 square feet, down 8%.
