Phoenix Comicon parent company cancels Vegas show, sets layoffs


The company behind the Phoenix Fan Fusion, one of the largest comic book and pop culture festivals in the U.S., is planning layoffs and is canceling a planned Las Vegas show.

Square Egg Entertainment, the force behind what once was the Phoenix Comicon, has laid off nearly half its staff and canceled the Vegas show as attendance at comic book conventions has fallen during the past two years, according to the Arizona Republic.
