PHOTOS: Look inside Beast & Bounty, the first restaurant in Ice Blocks


For the Ice Blocks development’s first restaurant, dining and nightlife entrepreneur Michael Hargis wanted to get back to basics: meat and vegetables.

But that’s just the first step for the concept behind Beast & Bounty, which will hold a soft opening in its 2,200-square-foot space the first week of July. Hargis said the wood-fired stove — of a kind unique in Sacramento — will be the stage to create dishes using every conceivable part of proteins and vegetables.
