Houston SPCA is celebrating the grand opening of its major expansion on Oct. 18.

The animal shelter and protection organization broke ground in 2016 on its “Campus for All Animals” project, which is expected to double Houston SPCA's capacity. Click through the slideshow to see photos of the campus, animals at the adoption center and other wildlife at Houston SPCA.

The campus, at 7007 Katy Road, is next door to Houston SPCA’s old facility at 900 Portway Drive and totals 100,000 square feet.…
