Planned downtown dessert shop expands its offerings beyond ice cream


An ice cream business planned for the mixed-use project on the 700 block of K Street in downtown Sacramento has been renamed and is shifting gears to focus on savory items as well as sweets.

In 2016, Dylan Newberry announced plans to open Smoosh in an approximately 1,200-square-foot space in the project, which is called The Hardin. At the time, Smoosh had one location in Rocklin and another in Folsom.
