Oregon Health Science University has signed on as presenting sponsor of the rebuilding Portland Marathon.
“OHSU's values align perfectly with what we are trying to do here at the Portland Marathon,” the marathon said in an emailed announcement Wednesday.
The Utah company Brooksee LLC in January won the right to put on the marathon after the city’s relationship with the previous organizer, a nonprofit, deteriorated, participation declined and the race's future was in doubt.
