Robinhood appears in retreat as it pulls sign-up list for cash management account


Menlo Park-based Robinhood is no longer allowing users to sign up for its new cash management accounts, which were previously called checking and savings accounts before regulators got wind of the idea.

Part of Robinhood’s app where people could put their name on a waitlist for the cash management accounts disappeared after some users updated the app, MarketWatch reported Monday.

But the company’s home page on Monday made it clear that cash management was “coming soon.”
