Rushdie flown to UPMC Hamot after stabbing attack


Author Salman Rushdie was flown by helicopter to UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie following a stabbing attack Friday morning while Rushdie was on stage at the Chautauqua Institution in upstate New York near the Pennsylvania border.
