Santa Clara County sues Intuit over TurboTax software, alleging ‘free’ filing wasn’t free


The suit is the latest of multiple suits filed nationwide, including in federal courts, accusing Intuit and other tax preparation companies of breaching an agreement with the Internal Revenue Service that they provide free filing services to low- and middle-income taxpayers.
