One of Columbus’ oldest and best-known food names is taking its business on the road.
Schmidt’s, with its 136-year-old sausage business, historic German Village restaurant and growing fleet of food trucks, has a pair of expansions in the works.
First, it’s going to permanently park new food trucks in Cincinnati starting next year. Then, in 2024, it plans to franchise that food truck business to operators in other markets.
