Schnuck Markets Inc. confirmed plans to open a grocery store in Maplewood. It plans to hire about 100 workers to staff the store, which will open in late August.
The former Shop ‘n Save location at 7355 Manchester Road in Maplewood closed in June. It had about 95 workers who were offered jobs at other area Shop 'n Save stores, according to United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 655 officials.
Schnucks reached an agreement Monday with the property owner to lease the 57,575 square-foot building.…
