Scottsdale approves water exchange deal with Tucson, OKs plans for boutique hotel

Under the agreement, Scottsdale would store up to 5,000 acre-feet of its Central Arizona Project water in Tucson's storage and recovery facility, which would accrue long-term storage credits from the Arizona Department of Water Resources. Separately, the city has given the green light to a new boutique hotel.
