Shidler recovering at Rehab Hospital of the Pacific after suffering a stroke


Jay Shidler, founder and managing director of The Shidler Group and benefactor of the University of Hawaii business school that bears his name, is recuperating at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu after suffering a stroke last week.

Shidler, 72, had the stroke on Sept. 23 in Honolulu after returning from Seattle, where he attended a ceremony to mark his gift of ground leases to the University of Washington School of Medicine.
