South Side developer plots 650 lots, 120 townhomes


After interest rates began rising last year, many builders pulled out of agreements to purchase lots, causing land development to slow down. But one San Antonio developer is preempting a possible housing shortage by betting big on demand returning as interest rates come down, with plans to develop hundreds of lots on the South Side.
