Starbucks closes today for racial bias training… go local instead


After uproar last month over the arrest of two black men waiting for a friend in a Philadelphia Starbucks, the entire company – 8,000 U.S. stores – will close this afternoon for racial bias training. While Starbucks is certainly the most prevalent coffee shop in the area, Jacksonville boasts a host of third-wave coffee roasters and cafes that are worth trying.
